As a Life Coach I Undertake to:
Always conduct myself within the highest levels of ethics, integrity, accountability and responsibility.
Treat all clients, and potential clients with absolute dignity, confidentiality and respect, as equal individuals.
Respect the commercial confidentiality of Evolve Life Coaching clients by not divulging any information to any third parties.
Maintain the good reputation of the Life Coaching profession in general.
Represent my true level and status within the profession, my competence and experience in order not to mislead, misrepresent or defraud.
Clearly state to clients and potential clients, the terms of any commercial agreement including the expectations of both parties.
Obtain written permission from any client or potential client before releasing their names as referees.
Recommend different coaches or resources when these will be more appropriate to the clients’ needs.
Avoid all conflicts of interest and give notice of such potential conflict to any mentors you may be working with.
Endeavour to enhance public understanding and acceptance of the Life Coaching profession.
Share skills and knowledge with fellow members and associates of the Life Coaching community to further increase the body of knowledge, skills and competencies amongst colleagues.
Respect all copyrighting, work, agreements, intellectual property, and trademarks and comply with all laws covering such areas.
Avoid coaching minors (who have not had their 18th birthday) without express written consent of a parent or guardian, as
appropriate.
Comply with all laws and bylaws of the country in which I operate (New Zealand).
Ensure all advertisements and promotional materials, whether verbal or written, are legal, decent, truthful, honest and in compliance with the requirements of the law of the country in which I operate (New Zealand).
Make a copy of this Code of Ethics freely available to clients should they request it.
